Symposium on family cohesion in The Department of Mechanical Engineering's Women's Affairs Unit.

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghaban, and under the supervision of the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Mohsin N Hamzah, The Women’s Affairs Unit in the Department of Mechanical Engineering organized the symposium entitled (Family cohesion and the reasons for the spread of divorce rates and proposing solutions) delivered by Mr. Wissam Ali Hussein / Director of the Social Research Department / Judicial Supervision Authority / Supreme Judicial Council.
The lecturer at the symposium covered several topics, including the significance of family cohesion, choosing a life partner based on established guidelines, the need for spouses to understand the role of this vital institution, the most common causes of divorce in Iraqi society, and additional issues including marital infidelity and misuse of social media.
The symposium came out with recommendations, including the need for the choice of husband and wife to be correct and based on sound foundations, and to organize awareness sessions for those approaching marriage to introduce the importance of this important family institution before marriage and to test the psychological and physical health of both parties before forming a family. The symposium concluded by presenting a certificate of appreciation to the guest and taking souvenir photos.
