The Department of Mechanical Engineering holds a lecture on Standards as a Basis for Knowledge and Their Role in the Job Market
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology held a scientific symposium under the auspices of the University President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muhammed Hassan Abd al-Kadhim al-Ghabban, and supervised by the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Prof. Dr. Muhsin Nouri Hamza, in collaboration with the Department of Scientific Affairs and the Office of Engineering and Scientific Consultations. The symposium, titled "Standards as a Basis for Knowledge and Their Role in the Job Market," was presented by Consultant Engineer Mohammed Sami Hussein Joudi, a member of the National Society for Engineering Inspection and Civil Protection.
The symposium took place in Dr. Munir Al-Mudhafar Hall at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. It included an explanation of key international standards such as those of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Petroleum Institute standards, American Roads and Bridges standards, and standards of the American Society for Fire Protection, in addition to Indian standards. Examples of these standards were presented and commented on, along with identifying the beneficiaries of these standards.
At the conclusion of the symposium, the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department presented a certificate of appreciation to Consultant Engineer Mohammed Sami Hussein Joudi, in recognition of his valuable contribution.
