Post graduate candidates do the competitory exam

The Master and Doctoral candidates for the academic year 2021-2022 did their compitiory exam on Sunday, 20th of June 2021 in the Mechanical Engineering Department. The exam was supervised by the vice president for scientific affairs and post graduate studies, Prof. Dr. haider Abd Dhahad, the Head of the Mechanical Engineering, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mayed Rizooki Hassan, and the deputy head of scientific affairs in the department , Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhsin Noori Hamza.

A developing lecture on the mechanism of publishing in solid Journals

On Monday 14th of June 2021 at 10 AM, a developing lecture entitled “University’s Global reputation and the Mechanism of Publishing in reputable Journals” was held by the department of Scientific Affairs and Cultural at the University of Technology. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Nasri Saleh Muhammad, the Director of the Studies and planning department at the Middle Technical University, at Dr. Jawamir's hall in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The lecturer was attended by Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dhahad, the vice president of scientific affairs and post graduate studies, and members of the department staff. The Lecturer presented the latest classification of Iraqi Universities according to SCIMAGO, which depends on three factors: Scientific, Economic, and Social Characteristics. The mechanism of publishing in reputable journals and the possible ways to duplicate the solid publication was also explained.  

It is worth mentioning that at the time of writing this report, out of 138 Iraqi universities, the University of Technology was ranked 4th in the Scopus with 5,139 indexed research papers for 2691 registered searchers.

A discussion Panel on Building Mathematical Model  

On Sunday, 30/5/2021, at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, at ten thirty in the morning, a panel discussion was held by Dr. Ali Al-Mukhtar. The discussion panel was about building Mathematical models using MATLAB software.  The aim of the discussion panel is to assist researchers writing original thesis and papers that can be accepted in solid journals of high impact factor.
