The Department of Mechanical Engineering is holding a student festival for the Engineering Branch of Qadra Stations in cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity for the academic year 2021-2022. Sponsored by the President of the Technological University, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghaban, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Muayed Razouqi Hassan, held today, Thursday, 19/5/2020, and in the hall of the late Dr. Jawamir, the student festival for engineering of power stations, in cooperation with Waz Electricity saw - Training and energy research department under the slogan (station engineer and work challenges). The festival opened with national peace, then the recitation of verses from the Wise Men and the reading of Surat Al-Fatiha on the souls of our righteous martyrs, then Dr. (Wafa Abd Saud), the head of the Engineering Branch of Al-Qadra stations, gave a speech including the importance and role of the engineer of Al-Qudra stations in contributing to meet the growing demand on Electrical energy, operation and maintenance of different types of stations Thermal, gas, water and diesel stations. The festival included two lectures, the first was titled (Control of Combustion Generated Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) Emissions in Gas Turbine) by Dr. Raed Abdul Alwan, and the second was titled (The Use of Solar Thermal Concentrators to operate Steam Power Pl) ants) said by Dr. Mofawq Qasim Shaie and the attendance reacted to echo the two lectures from During the valuable scientific discussions and at the end of the festival, I presented the scientific results of the graduation projects of the fourth stage students of the branch. Mr. President of the University, Head of the Department and the teachers attended these projects and wished success to our students and success in their scientific career.
