Alumni recruiting and training unit

This unit is intended for keeping correspondence with the former and the current students of Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology-Iraq. In addition to providing them career support, this unit helps alumni develop their skills which are of great importance in their future career.

What This Unit Does

1- Familiarizing alumni with this unit through department webpage and social media.

2- Preparing an up to date alumni data base.

3- Keeping contacts with the former students and increasing their engagement by sharing the activities of both the department and the university through department webpage and social media.

4- Qualifying alumni through various affordable training programs which are provided by the continuous learning center. These programs will play a significant role in their future career.

5- Coordination with local employee to recruit our alumni.

6- Holding an annual ceremony for alumni in the 1^st of April every ear.

7- Engaging alumni in different social activities such as trips and scientific forums etc. to keep contact with them and between each other.

8- Coordination between different private and governmental employees and student through summer training program before graduation.

9- Activate the final beneficiary of the graduates and contribute effectively in

- Training the students for specific jobs.

- Student activities

- Finding jobs for our departments graduates

- Contribute effectively in the yearly graduates’ student’s ceremony

- Contribute effectively in building a training program to help students and graduates for finding jobs.

10- Set up a questionnaire to know the opinion of the comprise and enterprises in our departments graduates to evaluate the quality of the graduates and putting the necessary plan for the future improvements.

11- Setup a questionnaire about the unit activities and performance by doing a statistical analysis to find out satisfaction of the graduates and the comprise from the unit output, this enables the unit to improve their performance

12- Make an effective supervision and following for all staff in the unit to ensure an effective performance
